This one of a kind ‘Ancient Stone Wall Necklace’ was inspired by beautiful loose stone walls around the country that have surrendered to nature over the years and become at one with the plant life in and around them. I wanted to represent the organic combination of the hard stone with the soft colourful plant life by mixing layers of silver, beading, paper and felt. The pendant is then unobtrusively suspended from a lightweight stainless steel wire. To put the necklace on and off, you simply remove the silver end cap and slide the wire through a silver tube in the pendant before returning it and replacing the cap.
Pendant length: 12cm
Wire length: 21″
Nature’s Way is a collection of jewellery designs that are inspired by my love of the natural world. It represents the colours, textures and forms that I see in woodlands and at the seaside. I mix materials and techniques that I have used and developed over the years, creating a style of jewellery that is unique to me. Each piece starts as a basic idea in my head fueled by what I have seen, it then evolves as the materials respond and come together during its creation. It is a very organic process. I use the beads like a paint pallet, building up the final picture as I sew. This method of working ensures each piece is one of a kind.
Is it a gift? Your beaded silver studs will be delivered beautifully wrapped in tissue and placed in a handmade fabric pouch.
